Yagoto Station is a intersection station of the Tsurumai Line and the circular Meijo Line of Nagoya subway.
The area around Yagoto Station includes Chukyo University, Nanzan University, Meijo University, a number of good bars and restaurants including the long-running Popcorn, Misty Indian restaurant, a sushi bar and the large Jusco department store and supermarket.
Also close to Yagoto Station is Koshoji Temple, the Sir Winston Hotel and the huge adjoining Yagoto cemetery and Yagoto Crematorium.
