東京中央郵便局
The Tokyo Central Post Office reopened in July 2012 on the ground floor of the 38-story, 200m-tall JP Tower skyscraper near the Marunouchi exit of the also recently-renovated Tokyo Station.
The original facade of the old 1930s' post office was preserved following various protests against its destruction, led by former LDP Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, Kunio Hatoyama.
The new building also holds the HQ of the Japan Post Bank. Other buildings close by Tokyo Central Post Office include the Shin Marunouchi Building, the Marunouchi Building, Tokyo International Forum and Brick Square.
